The Omnificium Ltd is building illustrated stories with lasting value. We're raising £200,000 in SEIS-eligible seed funding to produce, publish, and validate our first title.
What we're building
Creator-owned illustrated properties, designed from the ground up for print, licensing, and adaptation. We keep the rights.
Kickstarter-validated releases, community channels, and direct sales. We prove demand before we scale, and we don't depend on publishers.
A 22-part narrative architecture built for repeat releases, growing catalogue value, and long-term expansion into merchandise, games, and screen.
Current Project
A premium illustrated graphic novel series blending storybook, graphic novel, and art-object sensibilities. The first title from The Omnificium Studio.
Positioned alongside properties like The Little Prince, Tintin, and Adventure Time. Stories with symbolic depth, distinctive art, and audience loyalty that compounds over decades.
The target audience spans readers and collectors aged 9–99, Kickstarter backers of illustrated campaigns, and parents seeking books with substance. Premium illustrated projects on Kickstarter routinely raise £50k–£100k+.
The Raise
From a core group of founder investors.
This round establishes the studio's first IP, validates its direct-to-audience model, and builds a proven foundation for a larger follow-on raise (£500k–£1m) once demand and repeat sales are demonstrated.
Capital accelerates delivery rather than initiating the project. Core creative work is already underway, with production and distribution plans defined.
Qualifying investors can receive up to 50% income tax relief, CGT exemption on gains, and loss relief if the investment doesn't perform. HMRC Advance Assurance has been granted.

The Founder
Tom is a writer and creative director building The Omnificium as a studio for illustrated IP with staying power. He developed the Story of Hoo storyworld, its narrative architecture, and the commercial model around it.
The studio operates with a small, experienced freelance network and retains full ownership of all IP. The company is structured for long-term catalogue building, not a single release.
